About Bloons TD 6
Bloons TD 6 is a tower defense game in which you place monkeys along a path to pop waves of balloons, known as bloons. It looks cheerful, but it hides a deep strategy game with many towers, upgrades and modes. This page explains the basics and some advice for better results.
The basic loop
Each map has a track along which bloons travel. You place towers beside the track and use cash earned from popping bloons to build and upgrade more. Each round sends stronger bloons. If too many reach the end, you lose lives, and when all lives are gone, the game ends.
Towers and upgrade paths
There are several tower types, including dart monkeys, boomerang monkeys, cannons, snipers and support towers. Each has three upgrade paths, and you can only fully upgrade one or two of them. Choosing the right combination for the situation is the heart of the game. Some towers are good against groups, others against armoured bloons or fast ones.
Heroes
A hero is a special tower that levels up during a match. Different heroes have different abilities. Choose one that matches your strategy, and place it where it can cover important parts of the track.
Bloon types
Not every bloon can be popped by every attack. Lead bloons resist sharp objects, black bloons resist explosions, and camo bloons are invisible without detection. Knowing which towers counter which types prevents sudden losses in later rounds.
Maps and modes
Maps range from simple to complicated, with different difficulties. Modes include standard play, reduced-lives challenges and limited-tower modes. Co-op play allows a friend to join and share the burden. You can also play daily challenges with specific restrictions.
Strategy tips
Start with cheap towers to build a basic defence and then invest in a strong economy. Place towers near turns, because bloons spend more time there. Use support towers to boost others. Do not rely on a single type; diversify to handle different threats. Save some cash for emergencies.
Progression
Experience points unlock new towers and upgrades. Monkey knowledge, a separate tree, provides permanent bonuses. This long-term progression gives a reason to try different strategies.
Presentation and device
The graphics are colourful, and animations are smooth. It runs well on many devices, and it can be played offline.
Spending and ads
It is usually a paid game with optional purchases for cosmetic or convenience items. Check the price in your region.
Player fit
Players who like planning, experimentation and gradual mastery will enjoy it. Younger players can learn the basics, and veterans can spend months on advanced modes.
Thinking about economy
In Bloons TD 6 the strongest beginners are those who invest in income towers early, even when the round feels easy. Spending everything on defence leaves nothing for later rounds, when stronger bloons arrive in large numbers. Treat the first few rounds as a chance to build a base of cash flow and a few well-placed towers rather than a wall of weak ones.
Bottom line
Bloons TD 6 is a generous strategy title that rewards experimentation. Learn your towers' strengths, build a strong economy and enjoy the satisfaction of a perfectly timed defence.
